통로

통로는 지점과 지점을 연결하고 관통하며 중심의 고립을 막고 순환하게 한다.

동시에 매 순간 중심에서 멀어진다.

무언가 끊임없이 구축하고자 하는 열망과 그곳으로부터 벗어나고자 하는 욕망은 언제나 불편한 한 쌍을 이룬다.

통로는 욕망이 반영되는 곳이고 욕망은 존재를 규정한다.

욕망, 열망, 의지, 소원, 희망, 목표, 신념

그것을 무엇으로 표현하든 지금 나의 위치를 결정한다는 점에서 같다.

통로에서는 멈추지 말아야 한다.

이동을 위한 장소이기 때문이다.

중심도 외곽도 아닌 이곳에서 욕망이 만들어내는 환영과 만난다.

그리고 경로를 그려본다.

영원한 통로에서 단 하나인 꿈을 꾼다.

The Passage

2016

A passage penetrates and connects one point with another and

enables the center to circulate and not be isolated.

The desire to forge something tirelessly and the desire to escape from this always tends to pair uncomfortably.

A passage reflects this desire and such desire defines existence.

Desire, aspiration, will, wish, hope, goal,

and belief – whatever it may be – are identical in that these help determine my present position.

You must not stop in the passage.

That’s why it is a place for movement.

I encounter an illusion stemming from desire in this place that is neither center nor periphery.

I envisage a route.

I dream of a dream in this eternal passageway.
